About Me

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of English at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in technical and professional communication. In October 2020, my book The Ethos of Black Motherhood in America  was published. Use code LXFANDF30 for a 30% coupon. My current research interests include Black maternal health, reproductive justice, rhetoric of health and medicine, mental health and hip hop, and social justice and technical communication. I'm currently working on a capacity building framework for health communication entitled Black Rhetorics of Health Communication.
