About MeI am an Associate Professor and the Interim Chair for the Department of English at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in technical and professional communication. In October 2020, my book The Ethos of Black Motherhood in America was published. My current research interests include Black maternal health, reproductive justice, rhetoric of health and medicine, mental health and hip hop, and social justice and technical communication. I'm currently working on a capacity building framework for health communication entitled Black Rhetoric(s) of Health Communication.
